The ball on the finial is shaky . it's not stable. And I didn't look at the measurements and it's smaller than what I thought it was. But that's my fault. So it is smaller than what you expect in the picture. Make sure you look at the measurements. And for some reason the light on a shines half through the finial. -Cindy

I own many table lamps with finials( like 19). This one is too, too small to screw into harp (99% are standard size) beautiful finial, just can't use, won't screw into harp extension cuz way too small. Suggest that if you sell finials, would be very helpful if customers know the size/diameter of finial screw in. Will find someone who may be able to use. disappointed. -charles

Maggie custom designed these shades for my tiny old house in Washington DC. She consulted w/me frequently about trim options, size and other finishes. The project was completed quickly and the shades were packed very carefully, surviving a drenching summer storm without a hitch after Fed Ex left the box outside!
